I started a new job in a law firm and later found out they have a policy against holding a second job. I had been straight forward with Human Resources before I began the job and told them I wasn't going to give up training. However, my fifth day there I got a call from HR from one of the higher up women saying that she needed to speak to me about my training career and she was coming right down. I was sweating a bit because I'd just left a job of 11 years and couldn't afford to be out of work, but no way I was going to give up training, no matter what. When she got there she said we needed to find a conference room. Cutting to the chase...she wasn't there to chastize me...she wanted to hire me as her personal trainer! I was a bit skeptical at first, wondering if it might be a test of some kind, but she beat me to the punch and assured me that it was not and that she just needed a trainer really badly and she was so excited when she learned I trained! Made my week.
