Got a job!

Hey, I got a job at LA fitness!  Today I shadowed another trainer and got paper work done.  Will start officially next week (they have to confirm with ACE directly, not just going by my card) and once they do, they'll let me know.

Just doing this 2-3 days a week, which is all I want, but looking forward to it!  It was kinda intimidating at first (haven't been inside a gym in years...did ya'll know they no longer have 2 rocks on the ends of sticks for barbells???smile)  but getting in there made me feel  little better.  I know I'll be a nervous wreck with the first couple of clients....

Thanks to all of you for helping me to meet my goal!

Thanks Tekva! I'm looking forward to it!

I'm sorry to hear about your dilemma...I didn't know any suggestions to offer on your post...Is there not any part of it that you could work from home on some days and at least get part time PT?
You can always do Saturdays, right? I know you'll be able to work it out! Just so that you can somehow stay involved in PT...at least on the side....Let us know how it works out!

Good for you!
Were you training people before you passed the exam?

Thanks ya'll! I start tomorrow lightly...getting to know the gym, procedures, shadowing, etc...

Katie, Just really traiining myself as far as weights. I've been teaching an aerobics class at my church and doing body weight stuff with them (tricep dips, push up, etc).

Well, in a way!   My mother, 86 years old, osteoporosis, hip replacement patient, was my first client in December (I took the test in May).  She has made incredible improvements!  And I also trained two friends before the exam (again, with terrific results).
