After a couple attempts, I finally made it on to the board. :)
Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm 28 and live in Kansas City. I caught the fitness bug a few years ago as I found myself struggling with my weight and feeling pretty crappy both mentally and physically. I started working out with a trainer and it completely changed my life. I love working out now, and am so grateful to the people who helped me figure that out! I decided that I'd like to pay it forward, and decided to get certified with ACE.
I've been working in a corporate environment for the past 6 years, have hated it, and thanks to an extremely supportive and wonderful husband, I'm able to leave my desk job to pursue training full time.
I haven't taken the test yet... hopefully in September once I'm out of my job and actually have some quality time to study... trying to squeeze it in after work and on weekends just hasn't been working! I'm sure many of you can relate.
I'm actually taking my test August 14th, so I'm not yet certified, but I just wanted to say to just give yourself enough time w/ the material, it's a lot of stuff to get a handle on!
There's a lot of great folks here who are very knowledgeable and supportive, so definitely feel free to ask questions about whatever you might need help with!
