Scott's website officially up! :)

Hi everyone,

While I still do need to add some pics of me working out with the equipment I'll be using, the website is basically done.

I'll probably add some additional links as well in the future.

Here's the link:

http://time4youfitness.com/

If you have any suggestions please let me know, I appreciate it!

I'm lucky my wife knows how to do this stuff (worship.gifclap.gif) because this is definitely out of my area of expertise. biggrin.gif

Best wishes to everyone in their training careers, their studies and most importantly their families and health!

Take care,

Scott

tooooo many words and not enough attention grabbing...remember you only have like 30 seconds to get their attention and keep it. Put on some photos, maybe an article topic, how about a newsletter. I don't see any links that you like or recommend on there yet.

chances are if I see a page that I have to read to know what it is, I am going to skip it. The intro page should be short and sweet ....check out my site to see what I am talking about.

Hi Shawn,

Thanks for the feedback and constructive ideas I really appreciate it!

I definitely can see compared to your site that I need to create more visual interest, mine is on the dull side yawn.gif!

Right now my site is going to function primarily as an adjunct to an ad I'm taking out in a local parent magazine that served me very well years ago for teaching. I'm not expecting folks to find me immediately via the web itself but certainly I want it to work that way in the long run.

The reason I wrote so much about my background and stuff is that I'll be going into people's homes to train them so I feel that it's important for them to have an idea about me as a person.

Another trainer in the area who is very successful here used that approach on his site and I thought it was a good idea. His site is definitely much nicer than mine though from a visual perspective.

I'm definitely focusing on a relatively small geographical area because I'll be driving to their homes and the magazine I mentioned covers the area I'm interested in reaching. Also it's free and easily accessible to the folks I hope to attract as clients.

Fortunately I live in a very affluent area so I shouldn't have to go too far to train clients (for the record, I am personally not affluent, just lucky to be living in an older home that happens to be in a really nice area. biggrin.gif)

Anyway, I can definitely see the need to add more visual interest to the site. It's definitely too bland. I had been planning to add pics of myself using the powerbase, BOSU and med balls etc. I want to wait until I get my ACE apparel for the pics, plus I want a couple more weeks of training because I'm still catching up from my surgery. I'm still in good shape, I stayed really lean throughout all of this, but I think a couple weeks of training will add a more polished look for the pics.

I was planning on adding some links as well. I do link to the ACE site if you click on the ACE logo, also if you click on my picture it takes you to my page on the ACE site.

Either way, at least right now the site still serve it's main purpose along with my ad which should be out in the next couple of weeks. I'll try to get it better by then though.

Again, thanks so much for your feedback because I can see a big difference between what I have right now and what your site (and others) look like!

Take care and best,

Scott

Hi again Shawn,

What we did was added a very peaceful, beach/ocean type background to the site that I felt really captured the essence of what I'm trying to provide for clients.

My whole thing, which is expressed in the name of my company Time4You is the idea of it being special time that the clients take for themselves. It's along the lines of a spa type concept w/o the spa rather than a gym concept. :)

Anyway, I will definitely eventually add those pics w/ the equipment as well as links and I'll write some fitness articles, tips etc.

Take care and again thanks for the great ideas, it'll take some time to implement many of them but they'll get done!

Scott

Hi Shawn,

Thanks for taking a look at the "new look" of my website.

It is amazing how much the pic adds to it. It really captures the feeling I want to convey in terms of how I want to approach personal training.

Again, I appreciate you being honest and letting me know I needed to do something about what I had originally, it is GREATLY appreciated!

Have a great day!

Best,

Scott
