Interview 9/3

I haven't posted in a while b/c of summer & kids!

I am planning on taking the test 9/19. In the mean time, our local school district is opening a multi-million dollar aqautic & fitness center on the 20th. Here' the website: http://www.slcfac.com/ It shows more of the pools than the gym part. I have an interview for a fitness assistant/personal trainer on the 3rd. I'm excited - but it would pay $9/hr and 1/2 of $45/hr for the PT work. I have no idea what hours I would be working until the interview. I was being paid $10/hr at Snap Fitness (which laid me off for the summer and might have me back in October.). They take 40% of your PT charge. So the new position is going to depend on the hours and the "perks" - ie: family membership ($600/yr).  Maybe I could work both jobs, but I already work about 7 hours/week at our small family-owned construction company doing the office stuff. Wow! Big corporate job to maybe 3 pt jobs plus mom and household management! I rock!!! Or I'm crazy!! weirdface

But the BIG question -- WHAT DO I WEAR?!?!?!  I'm thinking khakis and a top (but what kind?) with sandles. It's still the the upper 70s/low 80s in Michigan this week. Is a skirt too formal for a gym job?

Time for more studying!

Monica

That sounds terrific! $45.00 an hour, very good! Around here the best I can find is $25.00 hour after the gym has taken their cut. CONGRATULATIONS! And good luck on the exam...keep us very posted.

Why don't you buy an ACE shirt from the ACE site?

Well I fell pretty good about the interview. I'll find out Monday or Tuesday if I'm "in." I wore tan pants, a bright blue tank with a white button down shirt over it. I thought I looked awesome! At the end of the interview, Jason told me to go over and check out the new facility which I did. WOW! But the fact that he encouraged me to go there was a positive in my book. The hours will be a challenge for my family - 6am to noon or 4pm to 10pm every other day with different hours on Sat & Sun. Gonna talk it over with hubby tonight so I have an answer when I get the call.
