I'll start with the fact that it was taught by 5 international level weightlifting coaches (3 men and 2 women). So the experience was amazing just to be able to be around that level of knowledge. These instructors would just spout off studies off of the top of their heads for any question that was asked, and the people asking the qustions were no slouches either. There were 60 of us in the class and more than 45 were C.S.C.S certified and already working with highschool and college athletes. about 5 of us were just trainers and the rest were coaches. So when these guys had questions they were useing studies to reference their point of view as well.
The level and quality of hands on instruction coaching the Olympic Lifts progressions were second to none. We did plyo work and med ball work as well as quite a few hours of olympic lifting progressions and assistance exercises.
There could have been more direct plyo and mec ball instruction but we did a 3 day class in a day and a half because of the NSCA conference that followed.
The only downside was the number of people there so the coaches were spread thin, but they were amazing none the less.
All in all I highly recommend this experience to anyone wanting to use Olympic lifts to work with your clients no matter who or what they do.
