We couldn't figure this one out, remember? I think I found the answer:
From Exercise, Etc.: After completing the 3-minutes step test, you client had a recovery heart rate of 78 bpm. The YMCA submax bike test might have been better to determine cardio fitness.
I THINK that it is because the 3 minute step test, tests endurance, whereas the YMCA submax bike test tests cardio fitness.

Thanks for mentioning that Nora, let me think on that (I'm a bit fuzzy brained this morning).
I haven't mentioned this before, but I've been dealing w/ a couple really bad discs in my neck and I've been not feeling too great recently (so it's affecting my concentration). I saw my chiropractor this morning, got x-rays and an adjustment, plus was put on steroids (they have an md in the office as well) to try to help w/ the inflammation.
Hopefully that'll help so that I don't need to have a more dramatic procedure (which is also expensive and out of my budget.)
I hope I can resolve this before the exam because I don't need to have this as an obstacle to concentration on that day. Either way it needs to be resolved just so that I can function well.
Still, I'm going to try to keep studying a bit but back off from what I normally do (need to conserve energy to teach and heal).
Oh, no, Scott! Hey, I'm praying you feel better FAST!!! And way before the exam.
Thanks Nora,
For years I had it under control thanks to monthly maintenance adjustments and regular exercise (and lots of Yoga). Ironically, all the studying and writing flashcards (related to helping know how to keep folks fit and healthy) for hours on end is what triggered the inflammation. I was hoping my fitness level and the adjustments would carry me thru, but unfortunately I pushed too far with it (I'm too obessive w/ this stuff :)).
I'm hoping the steroids they put me on (oral not injected) will help, plus the adjustments. My chiropractor worked a miracle for me last time, I'm hoping it can go that way again.
I asked my chiropractor if the steroids will make me speak w/ an Austrian accent (like Arnold) but he didn't think that was going to happen (I'm trying to maintain a little bit of a sense of humor) :)
Fortunately I have the next four days off from teaching also so I won't have to try and teach feeling like this. I cancelled today's lessons also.
I'm just doing enough studying to keep things solid in my mind (and did some of the exercise etc. disc today) but nothing crazy. :)
Take care and thanks for the well wishes, I REALLY want to feel completely healthy for that exam!
Sorry about all the complaining (or as we say in my family, with a Long Island accent, which is where I grew up,... "Kvetching" :D)).
