Here are a few of the books I keep going back to

Sly Moves (by Sylvester Stallone):  This book was the inspiration that got me off of my duff and working out again after about a ten year hiatus.  It's a basic book for beginners, but it's a VERY good one.  http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_gw/105-6456334-7245222?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=Sly+Moves

Program Design for Personal Trainers:  Bridging Theory Into Application (by Douglas S. Brooks, MS):  If you don't have this one in your library you are missing something great.  This book will help you in your career whether you are a beginner or a seasonsed pro.  Do not miss.  And while you're at it, check out Douglas Brooks' other great books on training.  He also has books for the general public.  A little pricey, but well, well worth the price.  http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_gw?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=Program+Design+for+Personal+Trainers&x=15&y=24

Strength Training Anatomy (by Frederic Delavier):  This book is sheer gold. A gorgeously illustrated book of exercise and which muscles are used.  Also great spotters info, correct form, physiological tidbits...just simply gold.  You've got to have this one in  your library.  http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_gw?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=Strength+Training+Anatomy
