My name is really Nora. Tekva is the Hebrew word for hope...which I had a whole lot of as I was studying for the exam!
I'm 52 years old, and really nervous about starting my career in fitness so late in life! But, I love the field and believe in it enough to make it work, God willing!
I'm single, never married (by choice...I love the single life and wouldn't trade it for the world!).
I live in a little yellow house way out in the country on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. I currently work in D.C. as a legal assistant -- a job I've held for nearly thirty years -- but I sure hope to segue out of that and into fitness full time in the future!
My other hobbies and interests include writing (which I have done professionally and in a fannish sort of way for most of my life), reading (just about anything I can get my hands on), piano (I'm pretty bad at it, but since I play for myself, I'm not offending anyone's ears. My dad was a concert violinist...if he could hear me play, he'd faint!). As I mentioned in the "rules" section, I'm also a Christian and Jesus is the most important person in my universe.
My favorite movie of all time is the original "Rocky" and not for the obvious reasons! The sweetness and heroism of the movie has always touched me deeply, and it still remains, all these years later, unsurpassed in my personal opinion! Runner up is Singin' in the Rain (and anything else by the wonderful Gene Kelly!),
